About us

The Sands Band is based in Grange-over-Sands and plays a wide variety of folk and ceilidh tunes, with a smattering of more recent tunes to suit special occasions.

We play for ceilidhs, and usually work with Dave Rogers, a well-known local dance caller (email him).  We also play for other social events, as background music or to suit a special occasion.

Our current lineup is two fiddles, concertina, guitar, keyboard and double-bass - some members play other instruments occasionally to vary the sound, and most of us can sing!  We have our own amplification setup, which we use when necessary to suit larger venues or noisier environments.
